i’m really excited to finally tell you about a project i’ve been working on with soon maternity, a maternity label based out of australia. for the past week i’ve been styling up a set of clothes they sent along with these awesome bloggers:

  • sandy of sandy a la mode (35 weeks)
  • lisa of bake bike blog (24 weeks)
  • bron of baby space (33 weeks)
  • » here’s where you can join in on the fun…
if you like my outfits or my blog, i’d love for you to visit the soon maternity facebook page and like and/or comment on the photos of me (there are four total). today’s photos can be found here.

the blogger with the most likes and/or comments on monday, dec. 5, will win a $500 gift card to soon maternity! ahh, that would be amazing! (to start, i’d pick these and this and this.) while i haven’t needed a lot of maternity clothes yet, i’m growing daily and still have at least three months to go…so this would be a huge blessing!

oh! and that’s not all…everyone who votes this week is entered to win a $100 gift card from soon maternity! and there will be another winner next week, too. so if you or someone you love is pregnant, this would be an amazing prize! (and, honestly, even if you’re not pregnant or ever hope to be, this shirt is awesome and i’ll definitely be wearing it even when i’m not pregnant. there is no ruching on the sides so no one would ever know! soon maternity also sells bags!

aaand. you can enter SNAPPY10 to get 10% off on all full-priced items in the soon maternity online store starting now through sunday, dec. 4!

    MY VIEW

    AND I FINALLY DID THIS:

    • we have four months to go! wow. i can’t believe that means i’m five months along and that in four(ish) months i will be holding my little girl.
    • i’m feeling great…and feeling very lucky because of it. i’m just dealing with the occasional sharp pains/contractions and lack of ab muscles.
    • sleep feels so good! i can sleep for hours…it might be the best sleep i’ve ever had, and i never thought i’d say that considering i can’t lay on my stomach.
    • i can tell i’m getting bigger because i can’t push myself into my desk as far at work anymore. i’ve heard that this is probably how big my stomach will be be immediately after giving birth.
    • baby girl’s really active at night and in the morning (basically when i’m resting). her kicks are strong at times but not painful yet. it’s so fun to have a little thing jumping around in there! the best moments are when eric feels her, too, and when he talks to her through my belly button.
    • i love to daydream about how she will fit in just perfectly in our family. i can just feel it…the same way i could tell she was going to be a girl.
    • check out this video where my husband and i answer some questions we’ve received about our baby names and cloth diapering.
    • and here’s another post about financially preparing for a baby, this time in regard to buying all the stuff you need!

    cozy cape

    when: saturday, nov. 12, 2011

what i wore: ASOS cape via simply bold giveaway, american apparel tunic and cardigan, target belt and leggings, steve madden boots, puma purse

    where: shopping!

eric and i hit up the outlet mall last weekend, and it was our first time in a j.crew factory store. i got a couple new shirts that i’ll show you soon!

turns out a warm cape was the perfect thing to wear as we walked from store to store in the brisk fall temps. it feels like a blanket, is easy to remove and will never become too snug for my baby bump. perfection!

it’s beginning to feel a lot like christmas

    what i wore:
    sweater: h&m
    belt: from an h&m dress
    pants: express
    shoes: caparros via dsw

where: 22-week baby appointment, work, luncheon

do you see all that white stuff behind me?

    ahh! we got snow!

i am so not ready for this.

    { it’s really pretty, but COLD. and i don’t like driving in it. }

however, it has made it easier to convince eric to listen to christmas music… :)

the past week went so fast! here’s a quick update:

    • we are trying to get a few things checked off our to-do list, like buying items for the nursery, finding a pediatrician and child care, and registering for a birth class. up until now i feel like we’ve been in denial that we’re going to have a baby.
    • last week i had dizziness/nausea for three consecutive evenings. i’m still not sure what was the cause of that, but i’m glad it has decided to pass!
    • i’ve been sleeping really well! (yea for body pillows!)
    • i’m occasionally having cramping/contractions when i stand in one place for a while, typically in the afternoon/evenings. it doesn’t sound like anything to worry about, but just to keep monitoring it.
    • i know two people who had baby boys last week. we’ve got four months to go, but it made me feel ready to meet my baby!
    • hearing your husband tell you that he loves your belly is good for the soul.
    • he also told me my feet are getting puffy…oh no!
    • total weight gain so far = 6 pounds (they want me to gain 30 total).
