my husband asked me to style him for a full week! this is day one.

where: bbq lunch, shopping, cirque du soleil

kelsey says: not only am i learning a lot about men’s fashion this week, i’m also learning to be a photographer. husband gets to learn how to pose, and i think it will make us both appreciate each other more. for this outfit, i took inspiration from the most recent j.crew catalog. i wanted to keep him comfortable so that he didn’t give up after day one. he’s cute, huh?

eric says: i pretty much instantly regretted telling kels my idea when a few moments later she was talking about me wearing her fedora and scarves. day one was pretty safe, but i know she is going to push my fashion limits in the days to come. posing is tough stuff. ladies who do this daily, pat yourselves on the back. how did i do my first time?

husband’s brilliant idea

Eric is a pretty fashionable guy. we have similar styles (i’ve maybe rubbed off on him a little bit…) he likes to ask my opinion, but ultimately buys and wears what he wants. because comfort is his no. 1 priority.

his new idea is for me to style him for a full week! ahh! i am so pumped. i couldn’t stop smiling after he presented me with this idea.

i think he might already be second-guessing it, though. i asked him if he had any boots and he said, “oh my gosh, am i going to hate myself for a full week?” ha! i don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable, but i do want him to try some new things and find some gems in his closet that he might have forgotten about or isn’t sure how to style it. he really has some great stuff! stay tuned…

meet husband. pretty darn cute, right? i’m a lucky girl. :) here’s what mister had to say about his outfit:

guess who! guest post. you’ve no doubt seen this front door before. kels asked me join in the fun and offer a man’s perspective. this shirt was a huge score from the banana republic outlet. i never pay full price for clothes. kels spotted this one, and i really like the pattern. i already feel like a girl talking about this…

the jeans were purchased in march, because i wanted some new jeans and my birthday is in march. enough said. i think the jeans were my first item from BR. it’s usually way too expensive for me, but i do love these jeans. i am revoking my mancard at this point…

the shoes are from penguin and help to dress down the outfit. the fossil watch was a Christmas gift from kels four years ago.

side note: i’m glad i didn’t decide to put on kw’s waist belt over this button-down. i just don’t think I could have pulled it off.
